Button
When to use
Use a button for actions that will change data or manipulate how it is displayed, change a state, or trigger an action.
When not to use
Buttons should never be used for navigational actions.
Accessibility and Usability
- The Button tag should be used unless you are using an icon for the button.
- The Button label must match the visible button name to work with voice recognition. If the button is an icon, you should label the button clearly behind the scenes. For example, if the button is an X for close, the button label should be Close.
- Buttons should have focus indicators both on hover and on keyboard focus.
